Icelandic actress Anita Briem has starred in a number of television shows, movies, radio voice-overs and stage roles.

She starred in Journey to the Center of the Earth 3-D and was HENRY VIII third wife in the popular Showtime historical drama The Tudors.

Anita takes a moment to answers some questions for us.

PCAS: What’s your favorite petite brand of clothing?

AB: “I mostly find labels that also make small sizes, one of my favorites being All Saints, a UK brand. Their x-small fits me perfectly. I think the most important thing about embracing ones tiny-ness is to find clothes that keep you in proportion . Who cares what size you are compared to other people?!”

PCAS: Do you have a particular line of clothing that’s not necessarily “petite” that you just can’t live without?

AB: “Many of my favorite pieces are vintage.

I have a love-hate relationship with vintage stores. Vintage clothes take up a big chunk of my closet space, I love them. When I’m not exactly in the mood to be there, I hate them.

Sometimes I get inspired and I start to long for a particular cut, style or pattern, then I run out the door and into the next vintage store before it wears off. I love piecing together a beautiful strong willed vintage item with modern textures and cuts.

Clothes anywhere from the 30′s throughout the 60′s are also sometimes particularly small, small waists, small hats, small gloves… If I’m really lucky I’ll snag an item that has been the favorite of the shopkeeper, everyone has tried it on, it’s the most beautiful thing on earth but no one can fit into it…

Except me. They are sometimes also my biggest bargains :)

PCAS: What’s your favorite pair of jeans?

AB: “I have a very old pair of Diesels that I love but they are ripped to shreds, because the thought of replacing them is too painful, I’m thinking about some cool repair work, it might involve velvet and jewelry, can’t say for sure.”

PCAS: If you were stranded on a desert island what brand of sweats would you be wearing?

AB: “My favorite pair of sweats aren’t sweats at all, they’re leggings. I am very fond of them! It’s what I’m most comfortable in and if you just piece something kinda rock n roll, hanging and cool with them they can totally pass for being cool. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.”

PCAS: Heels or flats?

AB: “I was awkward about my small frame as a teenager, being from Iceland I was considerably tinier than other people and wore platform shoes for a couple of years.

Then I moved to London where the culture is very different, people are generally not as tall and are less religious about fashion then the Icelanders, I immediately switched to flats and wear flats daily.

I also love very high heels… like really high one’s. It makes me feel very sexy… So both. Very flat flats and very high heels.”

PCAS: How tall are you?

AB: “5’4″
